Hey all,

The big hitters are out this week and it's good news, depending on how you look at it, all around.

Activision & Blizzard, the same thing they do every night, try and take over the WORLD!

Activision have announced that in 2009 they will be part of new games in a whole bunch of gaming franchises. Call of Duty, Guitar Hero, Tony Hawk and a new Bond game are all lined up for next year.

Call of Duty is the most interesting of them all as it's working title is "Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2" and is set for Autumn next year. No details have be released yet but going on the name it looks like the Call of Duty world is finally going it's separate ways with Treyarch leading one and more than likely Infinity Ward heading up the Activision side.

If you're a Tony Hawk fan I'll just let you have this quote from Activision; "You're not going to be playing this game with a controller in your hands". Get the duck tape and pillows out and get padding your living rooms guys.

Something for the consoles

Tekken 6 is coming to the XBOX 360 and PS3 in Europe next Autumn. It's the first time the series has been ported to XBOX 360 and I personally welcome it will open arms.

From a couple of early screenshots it's looking like good old Tekken fun. Online multiplayer and character customisation are promised for the future release, time to give everyone Paul Phoenix's totem pole blond hair =D

Call of Duty: World at War to go further than CoD4?

Daniel Suarez announces future Downloadable Content (DLC) for CoD:WaW. The boss of CoD:WaW has said; "We want to do at least - the hope is - potentially two, maybe three packs out before we're all said and done".

The first pack is on course for the new year. No hints have be given to as what the content will be about; "
It's not going to be what we've done traditionally. I'll leave it a little bit mysterious".

Could a game developer be about to release a mod for a Call of Duty game that allows awesome balanced free flowing e-Sports game play? I won't hold my breath. Further Solo or Co-op Stories are likely and we may even see a level editor. I for one am looking forward to finding out.
