League of Legends is another take on one of Warcraft 3's most popular mods DOTA (Defense of the Ancients). This RTS style game has really taken off as it breaths fresh gameplay, slick graphics and new heros to battle your opponents with.
The gameplay is either 5v5 or 3v3 on lane based maps. Each lane has two towers, destroying those takes u to the enemy base where u have another tower but behind this is a builing called an inhibitor. The inhibitor unlocks super creeps to attack that lane helping you push better as they have increased health and damage other features include bushes which keep u stealthed untill an enemy enters with you ;) this is great to escape of lure enemys in for a good gankin. There are still neutral creeps on the map which can be slain for gold and xp but there are special ones which give you fire buffs for extra damage and mana buffs for added mana regen to help your hero another handy feature is the recall button, if you find yourself stuck away from your other team mates click this button and 10 seconds later your back home safe....just dont get caught out.
Finally when you play the game you have to log into your own account, now this account lets you gain xp and ip points which you can use to purchase beneficial items for your profile called runes. These runs go into your rune book which unlocks more andmore as you gain levels untill you reach level 50. These runes can help stack crit chance, crit damage, mana regen, health regen anything that will benefit your hero. These can also be combined to make better runes increasing the power of your chosen hero. Another feature is the mastery points, this is kind of like a wow talent tree where you can spend points on abilitys making your hero more powerful or durable what ever way you seem fit. Each point is unlocked every time you level up so you can have a maximum of 30 points to spend, which can be spent anyway you choose and can be changed before every game starts so you can change over is someone else picks your hero that is you have them setup for.
The graphics depending on your pc of course are a good step up from Warcraft 3's dated look, increasing the sharpness of trees,towers and of course the heros themselves. This is best shown in team battles with a variety of different heros all casting spells and actions making for a pretty good show.
Finally we come to the hero's probably the best part of the game with around 30 heros to choose from there is bound to be a hero that will suit your own style of gameplay where you like rouge/stealth characters, tanks or a good old fashioned ranged dps ;). Dota players will find the new characters are a good change from dota but will also find heros to have some of the same characteristics but that doesnt in anyway deter the fun to be had by playing certain heros different ways as any hero can be played any way you like but this can either have a positive or negative efferct on your team balance.
Another cool feature about the heros is you can purchase new skins so you have your own unique hero when playing in game as chances are sombody might choose the same hero as you, some of which look pretty cool.

Battlefield Bad Company™ 2 brings the spectacular Battlefield gameplay to the forefront of next-gen consoles and PC, featuring best-in-class vehicular combat set across a wide range of huge sandbox maps each with a different tactical focus. New vehicles like the All Terrain Vehicle (ATV) and the UH-60 transport helicopter allow for all-new multiplayer tactics in the warzone. Extensive fine-tuning ensures that this will be the most realistic vehicle combat experience to date. Tactical destruction is taken to new heights with the updated DICE Frostbite engine. Variety also extends into the range of customizable kits weapons and vehicles available. With 4 distinct character classes, dozens of weapons, several gadgets and specializations, players have over 15,000 kit variations to discover and master. Players will be able to fine-tune their preferred fighting style to give them the edge in combat.
All of these features combine to deliver spectacular and unpredictable action moments found nowhere else in a modern warfare experience. The game also sees the return of the "B" Company squad in a more mature and intense single player experience where the stakes are higher than ever.
The "Gold Rush" mode in the original Bad Company is referred to simply as "Rush" in Bad Company 2. The format is similar in that an attacking team must detonate explosives on a defending team's crates. The attacking team succeeds by eliminating all the crates on the map, and the defending team succeeds if the attackers are not able to eliminate the crates in the active area before their tickets are depleted. Making use of the Destruction 2.0 system, it is also possible to eliminate some of the crates by collapsing the building they are in on top of them. A smaller scale mode called "Squad Rush" was confirmed that has only two opposing teams of four players battle against each other with one existing crate stash.
Multiplayer will allow players to choose from a set of weapon kits before each spawn, the number of which has been further reduced from Bad Company's five down to four: Assault, Engineer, Recon, and Medic (with the Specialist kit being the one removed). In addition to the hand grenades and side arms standard for all classes, each class also has an initial primary weapon and a pair of gadgets unique to that class. A customizable weapon selection menu is also new to the Bad Company series (similar to unlocks in Battlefield 2 and Battlefield 2142). Gaining experience points allows a player to unlock and use different weapons and gadgets, some only usable by a given class and some available to any class that player uses. There are also unlockable items that can modify the game's firearms, such as ACOGs, reflex sights, and short or long barrel grenade launchers.
The experience points used to unlock the above items will be awarded for performing actions conducive to the goals of the player's team, such as eliminating enemy players, healing teammates, or capturing or defending points of interest. Bonuses to the base number of points can be awarded under certain circumstances (such as achieving a headshot in the process of eliminating an enemy player). A dog tag system as seen in Battlefield 2142 and Battlefield: Bad Company returns, awarding players trophies of sorts in the form of opponents' dog tags when they defeat the opponent with a melee attack.

The first competition of the night was a call of duty 2 death match we had some of Bangor's finest players and it came down to the last kill, any one from the top 8 could have taken then win but Duffman came out on top, but his efforts were for nothing as the wheel of PWN went against him and Mrcool claimed the prize
Next up LBNT set a challenge to see if any one could beat them at cod4, a new team formed to take them on but couldn't keep up with the force that is LBNT
Counterstrike source was next it was a 6v6 over 2 maps, LBNT teamed up with Duffman and Giftzor to take on the rest including me. First map was dust 2 and boy was it close but sadly the next map of dust they steam rolled us. Player of the match has to go to Maverick for his sick Deagle shots.
ZOMBIES!!! thats right we had a zombie race to see how could get the farthest, we had a tie on level 23 on der riese between LBNT and the team of giftzor, exporter, rkidd and haybales the 3 other teams did not do so well :P. To decide which team got the wheel of PWN they decided to play cod4 which LBNT took
it once again
The last main competition we had was a Flat out 2 derby knock-out in which 16 players took part after the heats and grand final there was one smashed up car left just about running driven by giftzor.

Operating directly under the National Command Authority, a relatively unknown entity of handpicked warriors are called on when the mission must not fail. They are the Tier 1 Operators.
Over 2 million Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines wear the uniform. Of those, approximately 50 thousand fall under the direct control of the Special Operations Command. The Tier 1 Operator functions on a plane of existence above and beyond even the most highly trained Special Operations Forces. Their exact numbers, while classified, hover in the low hundreds. They are living, breathing, precision instruments of war. They are experts in the application of violence. The new Medal of Honor is inspired by and has been developed with Tier 1 Operators from this elite community. Players will step into the boots of these warriors and apply their unique skill sets to a new enemy in the most unforgiving and hostile battlefield conditions of present day Afghanistan.
There is a new enemy. There is a new war. There is a new warrior. He is Tier 1.

Left 4 Dead 2 forces you to work as a team if you want to win. You need to talk, and you need to participate. Every member of your four person squad of Survivors needs to be communicating about what they're doing, calling out locations for ammunition, weapon, and health pickups, and asking for help when in trouble....
The catch is that no stage ever plays out the same way, because there's an artificial intelligence called the Director governing the action. Packs of common zombies can attack at any time, and if what the Director throws at you proves too challenging, your path of progression through a stage may even get swapped around to make things easier. It makes every experience different, and encourages repeat play as it adapts to challenge players of any skill level.
Well its been a long race but the racing has finally come to an end. I'd Like to say thankyou to all the participating Centers for having patience during the initial setup. The Wheel of Pwn has been a great success and we hope to do it again in the near future.
