1 - Wheel of Pwn Summary

1.1 - Summary

The Wheel of Pwn (WoP) is a winner and prize selector for GTW Competitions and Events. WoP competitions will be run in all GTW centres wanting to take part. Players will play in WoP games to win “Segments” on the WoP.

Each center will hold a LAN competition at 7pm on the WoP nights. The top 3 in this game along with the winner selected by the WoP, no matter what the prize won is, will be entered into the Inter-Center match at 8pm. If the player who wins the LAN WoP Spin is in the top 3 already then the player who finished 4th will be added into the game.

The inter-center match will have a maximum of 4 players from each center take part. Once over another WoP will be spun with larger more rewarding prizes. This spin will be set up by an admin in GTW Bangor.

1.2 - Prizes

The first WoP spin each night will be for prizes supplied by each individual center.

The second WoP spin will have prizes that will consist of gaming hardware and GTW rewards you cannot win anywhere else. The more successful the WoP becomes the more we would like to put back into it to keep the prizes interesting and gratifying.

1.3 - Entry:

All GTWs that would like to take part, can take part. Make sure you let your Admins know if you would like to compete. Players do not have to pay anything extra for WoP competitions.

1.4 - Eligibility:

Any GTW member can take part. Players must be in a GTW Centre and playing on the server designated by the Admin on duty. Centre owners or Admins are not eligible to take part in WoP competitions.

2 - GAME SETTINGS

» Game = Call of Duty 4
» Game Ver = Most up-to-date patch (v1.7)
» Gametype = DM (Free-for-all)
» Time Limit = 30 minutes
» Score Limit = N/A
» Map = Dependant on week – see Map List
» Centre = LAN games in centre. Scores from all centres added to one WoP Spin.

Players will be awarded 1 “Segment” on the WoP for every kill they gain in game during the match.

Players may join the game at any point. Should a player join at the beginning of the match but leave half way through their score upon leaving will be entered into the WoP. Should a player leave and rejoin the scores from the 2 portions of game play will be added together and entered into the WoP.

All players who have scored at least one kill in a game will have a chance at winning. Having a larger number of kills, and therefore segments, increases your chance of winning.

3 - Technical Issues

3.1 - Player Requirements

All players are required to take a screenshot (F12 is the default key) of their final scores and keep it for up to one week. An admin may require this screenshot for results verification. Failure to supply a screenshot may result in your score being invalidated.

Cheating will not be tolerated. This includes use of any 3rd party software or game exploits etc. If any player is discovered committing any violations regarded as unfair play, that player will not receive any kills (segments) & may receive further punishment.

3.2 - Technical Issues

If a server crashes before 10 minutes of game play then the game will be replayed from scratch once the server problem is fixed.

If a server crashes after 10 minutes have been played then the last screenshot of the scores taken will be accepted.

GTW reserve the right to amend or update the WoP Rules and settings at any time.

Decisions made by the GTW Admins are final.

Gamers may appeal against any decision made by the admin but not against these rules. In the first instance speak to your centre manager. An email must be sent by your centre owner or manager to competitions@gametheworld.com within 2 hours of the event finishing. This CANNOT be sent by the GTW member.
